Ida Wingborg is a singer and composer from Stockholm, currently based in Gothenburg. She works across jazz and improvisation, where curiosity and a strong sense of storytelling guide the music forward. Her sound is shaped by honest, intuitive improvisations and lyrics in which nature becomes a carrier of longing, loss, dreams, and the experience of growing up.
Ida has studied at several folk high schools in Sweden, including Fridhem’s Jazz Programme and Bollnäs Jazz Programme. In spring 2026, she graduates from the Academy of Music and Drama with a degree in Improvisation. During her second year of studies, she attended the jazz programme at the Conservatoire de Musique et de Danse in Paris (2025–2026).
In recent years, Ida has performed her original music at the Stockholm Jazz Festival on two occasions. She has also appeared at Utopia Jazz Club in Gothenburg as well as at a number of jazz clubs and festivals in Paris, including La Gare / Le Gore and Jazz à la Cité.
In summer 2026, Ida is awarded a residency through the Swedish Institute in Paris, where she will work on her debut album — a musical letter and tribute to Barbro Hörberg and the French singer Barbara.
Drawing influences from jazz, folk music, traditional song, and pop, Ida creates music that invites the listener to slow down, reflect, and come close — to the music, and to the words.
